MOVIE STAR:
Jim MacDonald is now in Texas, filming his first "starring" role film. He will be filming for one month.
More info in this film is at: http://www.fissurethemovie.com
Please take a look when you have a chance. Good luck and much congratulations.
MARK E'S WRIST:
We all hope Mark's wrist is healing nicely and he will be back to practice soon. Many best wishes!
DOJO MAIL:
Many thanks to Jacob for taking care of the Dojo's mail - he is shocked at how much mail goes out from the dojo each day. I think many members of the Dojo do not realize how much correspondence we have all around the world and the efforts we make to communicate with everyone. I never realized this until he pointed it out to me!
PEOPLE:
Dara Toor has returned to Iaido after a long absence for school.
Jindrich will return to the dojo soon, he is recovering from the flu after his one month trip to Europe on business.
We still do not know what happened to Anatoli who left the dojo on vacation and hasn't returned since. We all hope he is well.
Steven Jacobs moved to San Francisco for his new job and we will sorely miss him.
COLD IN COLORADO, BRRRRRR:
From Izawa Sensei:
- minus 18! without wind chill factor!! Today I had to change the mail box which was broken by the snow removing vehicles. It was so chilly and I had to come back into the house more than ten times to warm up and try to go again for short tasks so that I did not have to stay out all this time freezing. I won't say "I wish you were here!"
Note: When it is 35-50 degrees in Los Angeles, we complain about the freezing cold. Izawa Sensei told me that such temperatures feel like a warm summer's day for them!
Izawa Sensei: Keep warm and take care!
