When It Rains, It Pours!
What a disaster on Sunday! Unauthorized photographers who refused to moved from the entrance to a 4 hour electrical black-out in the dojo, leaving me in total darkness in a boiling hot office! With everyone so busy during the summer months, this is when I feel most alone and helpless. . . Luckily one student came to the rescue and we were able to go someplace cool for a little lunch and coffee and I could take my mind away from all of the worries of the dojo.
I do so much work in my office and especially with the upcoming Seminar, I do not know why it is such an odd timing that I must start my books when it is so busy. In our Daily Messages, we have accumulated over 118,000 lines of text and now I hear that your Yahoo group has even more - there is more accumulated text than in the Holy Bible - this will be a job to sort through and edit. I do believe we have enough for at least two volumes of KODO - KODO II and KODO III.
The Seminar is worrisome because progress is slow in getting the Dojo ready - I think it is a busy summer for everyone and it is much too hot. Most student cannot even imagine how much fine details must be seen to to organize such an event. . . . .
As usual our morning Iaido class is still "sleepy class," and for some reason I just cannot get the students motivated and energized to the spirit one requires in order to practice Iaido. I thin it must be too early in the morning or people are just too laid back. . . . . Even from the moment they sit down to begin class - I can see that no one is even close to properly drawing his sword - very frustrating - week after week - same routine. . .
Yes, indeed, when it rains, it pours - and the irony is that we could really use some cooling, nourishing rain right now!
All I can do is "vent" and continue to move on, oh well! - Many thanks for indulging me this morning. . . . . Have a good day and a very safe Holiday!
And pray for no more blackouts in the Dojo on the Fourth!
