Bright Mirror:

Most people want freedom but do not know what it is. Most people want happiness but do not know what it is. Most people want success but do not know what it is. . . . Because most of what we seek in life is unknown to us, we make many mistakes in judgement. . . .

In our practice of Aikido, we seek to become very clear about ourselves. . . when we seek this clarity, everything else will fall into place very naturally and all questions are naturallty answered.

The mirror has nothing to do with what is put in front of it and what it reflects. . . it only seeks to be clear and bright and the image itself is clear and bright by itself. . . . In the same way, by seeking self knowledge and continuing our Aikido practice to develop ourselves daily. . . it is like making the mirror clear and bright. . . . .
